DPD Investigating After Woman Takes Wallet

UPDATE (4/13) - This subject has been identified, thank you to all who contacted us with information

The Dalton Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify a woman who took a wallet that was dropped accidentally and lost at a local gas station. The wallet contained no cash, but did contain the victim's bank cards and identification. The woman who took the wallet has apparently not used any of the stolen bank cards, but also has apparently made no effort to return the wallet to its owner.

The wallet was taken March 27th at approximately 12:45 pm from the Circle K station at 1200 N. Glenwood Avenue. The victim dropped her pink wallet on the ground in the parking lot of the store and did not realize it until after she had already left the store. After the victim left, an older white woman driving a red Ford Fusion four door sedan was leaving the parking lot when she apparently spotted the wallet and stopped, and got out to pick it up. This woman was then recorded briefly looking through the wallet in her vehicle before driving off without attempting to turn the wallet in to the store. Investigators say that the bank cards have not been used, and they are attempting to reunite the wallet with its owner.
