Welcome to the City of Dalton! We are located in the beautiful Appalachian Foothills on I-75, between Atlanta, GA and Chattanooga, TN. Drop in and experience Southern Hospitality at it’s best.

Come and experience our vast recreational opportunities, explore a community that has more intact Civil War sites than anywhere in the nation, watch trains with the other visitors at the Freight Depot or discover how we became known as “The Carpet Capital of the World”.

Our community is truly working together toward quality growth and development. We realize the key to this is education. That’s why we work with our local school systems, Dalton State College and Georgia Northwestern Technical College to make sure more students are excelling not only in high school and college but also in “work ready” and life skills.  We want to be a city where new graduates desire to stay, live and work and raise families. Besides offering good paying jobs, we’re also dedicated to improving our quality of life with attractive parks, affordable housing and a vibrant downtown.
