Thursday, October 9th, 2025

The Dalton Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify a man attempted to rob a Dalton store at gunpoint on Tuesday night. The suspect wore a mask, but the store's surveillance system was still able to get clear pictures of part of his face and his distinctive clothing.

The attempted robbery happened at approximately 9:45 pm at the Tienda Tikal store at 616 4th Avenue. The suspect entered the store and when he got to the counter, he pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the cashier. When the cashier told him that there was no money in the register, the suspect left the store. Witnesses said that he walked north towards Redwine Street and then west toward 3rd Avenue before he was out of sight.

The suspect was described by witnesses as a young Hispanic male, standing approximately 5'8 or 5'9 and weighing approximately 130 pounds. He wore a black hoodie wish a "Quicksilver" logo on the chest and the back with blue jeans and black sneakers. His hair is brown and appeared to hang down under the front of the hoodie.

Anyone who can identify this suspect or who has information on this crime is asked to please contact Detective Chris Tucker at 706-278-9085, extension 9-165.
