DPD Investigating Shoplifting

The Dalton Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify a woman who shoplifted nearly $1,900 in merchandise from a Dalton retailer. The suspect was recorded by store surveillance. 

The incident happened last month at the Ulta beauty store on West Walnut Avenue. Store management reported to police that a woman entered the store shortly after 10:00 am and picked up a shopping basket and began to walk around the store and load it with items. In total, the woman took at least 15 items that store management reports were worth a total of $1,896. The woman then left the store without buying anything. 

The suspect is a heavyset Black woman with black shoulder length hair who wore a white button down shirt, black pants, and thick white-rimmed sunglasses which she never took off inside of the store.
