James Brown Park

Brown Park is a 36 acre complex featuring: John Davis Recreation Center, football/soccer fields, picnic pavilions, public swimming pool, playground area, and outdoor basketball and soccer courts. Brown Park is the City’s oldest park dating back to 1956. The Parks and Recreation administrative offices are located at this site. If walking is your thing a trip around the park will take you .8 miles.

Directions to facility
Exit i-75 336 Dalton/Rocky Face, Head east through 5 traffic lights. Light #1 begins at the Race Track gas station. At the 6th light (Cleveland Hwy/Glenwood Ave) turn right. Go through 3 traffic lights past Wendy’s and American Legion top the small hill and turn left on to Morningside Dr. The Park will be at the bottom of the hill on Civic Dr. The Recreation Center is in the middle of the block.
