City Offices Closed Monday (Jan. 26th), Garbage Collection On Delayed Basis

Out of an abundance of caution, City of Dalton offices and non-emergency services will be closed on Monday, January 26th. The Public Works Department is still planning to conduct garbage and recycling collections on Monday, Jan. 26th a delayed basis to give crews time to assess road conditions. Collections will also take place on a delayed basis on Tuesday, Jan. 27th. 

Temperatures are expected to fall well below freezing overnight into Monday morning which creates the potential for the formation of ice on wet roadways. The Dalton Public Works Department will be working to keep roadways as clear as possible, but we urge motorists to avoid driving unless it is absolutely necessary. 

Non-mission critical City of Dalton employees should not report to their work site on Monday, January 26th.
