McFarland Road Railroad Crossing To Close For Maintenance

The railroad crossing near the intersection of McFarland Road and Hamilton Street will be closing on Wednesday, November 12th for repair work. The work is expected to take the rest of the week and no traffic will be able to cross the tracks while maintenance is being carried out.

The Dalton Public Works Department was informed Tuesday afternoon that the CSX railroad crossing at McFarland Road needs repairs and that a contractor would be closing the crossing Wednesday morning. The crossing is located near 106 McFarland Road and is immediately adjacent to the McFarland/Hamilton Street intersection. Detour signs will be posted, but drivers should plan alternate routes to avoid delays.
