Chattanooga Avenue Bridge Repairs Will Lead To Traffic Delays

Repairs to the Chattanooga Avenue bridge spanning Mill Creek will require lane closures. Motorists should plan alternate routes to avoid delays. The repair work will start Tuesday, September 21st and run through Friday, September 24th, weather permitting. 

The Chattanooga Avenue bridge crosses Mill Creek between the intersections with Chenille Drive and Coronet Drive. The bridge repairs will be performed by Massana Construction which has contracted with the City of Dalton's Public Works Department on the project. The work will require periods of time where one lane of the bridge will be closed and flaggers will be present to direct traffic across the bridge. Delays are expected, and motorists should plan ahead for alternate routes and also use caution in the area while workers are present.
