Tandem Truck Driver - Public Works
The City of Dalton is currently accepting applications for a Tandem Truck Driver. This is a full-time position in the Public Works Department Street Maintenance Division with a starting pay rate to be determined based on experience. This position involves driving a tandem axle dump truck; hauling asphalt and other construction debris or materials to an assigned job site; assisting other workers with finishing concrete and setting concrete forms for curbing and sidewalks; assisting with installation of stormwater drainage structures; operating a salt brine truck or snow plow during ice and snow events, before or after normal working hours; ensuring preventative maintenance is performed on assigned vehicle; and any other duties as assigned. Applicants must have a valid Class “B” Commercial Driver’s License and concrete form and finishing experience.
