Fowler is new to the Dalton Fire Department but he is certainly not new to Dalton. Fowler grew up in Dawnville and is a 2023 graduate of Coahulla Creek High School. After high school, he went on to Huntington College where he played football as a punter and placekicker. He joined the Calhoun Fire Department in 2024 where he took part in the Dalton Fire Department's recruit school which was hosted in cooperation with Calhoun.
During his time with the Calhoun Fire Department, Fowler earned national certifications for both pumper and aerial apparatus operations as well as earning level one certification as a rope rescue technician.
"Logan has returned home to fulfill a lifelong dream of being a Dalton firefighter and serving the community he grew up in," Fire Chief Matt Daniel told the commission.
Logan is the son of Cynthia and Jared Fowler. His father pinned his badge to his uniform during Tuesday morning's presentation.
