The next treatment date for the City of Dalton's drive-thru COVID-19 treatment clinic will be Tuesday, November 23rd. The city has been offering Regeneron monoclonal antibody treatments for COVID-19 at the clinic since August. Appointments for the November 23rd treatment clinic will be made available online the evening before.

The clinic is staged in the upper right-hand parking lot of the Dalton Convention Center at 2211 Tony Ingle Parkway. Patients should plan to be on site inside of their vehicles for approximately 90 minutes. Patients must remain at least an hour after receiving their injections as they will need to remain for observation, so patients should be sure to have enough fuel ahead of time if they need to idle for air conditioning or heat. Patients and anyone else inside of the vehicle must wear masks while on site.

Patients are not allowed inside of the Dalton Convention Center. Restroom facilities have been made available outside at the site.

Regeneron's monoclonal antibody therapy for COVID-19, REGEN-COV (casirivimab and imdevimab), is indicated for treatment of patients within approximately the first 7 days of developing illness or testing positive for COVID-19. This treatment is most effective the earlier it is taken after the onset of illness. The goal is to treat people as close to diagnosis or the onset of symptoms as possible, within approximately the first 7 days. More info about the treatment is available here.
