Downtown Concert Series Returning This Summer

The "Off The Rails" concert series at Burr Park is returning this summer after being put on the shelf in 2020 due to safety concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic. After much consideration, the planning board (made up of the Dalton Convention & Visitors Bureau, Downtown Dalton Development Authority, Creative Arts Guild and Community Foundation) has decided to move forward with the 2021 series with the first date coming in June. The "Off The Rails" sereis compliment other festivals and live performances scheduled for this summer.

The 2020 series was canceled at the advisement of health and safety guidelines during the initial outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. With the introduction of the vaccines, lower infection rates, and improved social distancing protocols, organizers believe the 2021 series is in a position to move forward safely. 

“We are excited to once again welcome all events back to Burr Park in downtown Dalton,” said Candace Eaton, executive director of the Downtown Dalton Development Authority.

The series is scheduled to return in June with the entertainment schedule to be determined. "Off The Rails" will feature free live entertainment every Friday at the Burr Park Stage in Downtown Dalton and every 3rd Friday in the fall.
