Steve Farrow was elected to the City Council in 2021 and was sworn into office on January 4th 2022. He's not new to government, however. Mr. Farrow has practiced law for nearly 40 years including the last eight in the Dalton offices of the firm of Warren & Griffin. He previously served as the Dalton city attorney while working with The Minor Firm and also represented Dalton Utilities. He served in the State Senate from 1993 until 1996 and also represented the 9th Congressional District on the State Transportation Board from 2008 until 2009. He also was appointed to the State Ethics Commission by former Governor Sonny Perdue, serving from 2003 until 2006, including two years as chairman. Governor Perdue also appointed him to the State Board of Workers Compensation where he served for four years.

Steve is a Dalton native and graduated from Dalton High School. From there, he continued his studies at the University of Tennessee, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree with high honors in 1979, and then obtained a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1982.

Mr. Farrow is assigned to the Creative Arts Guild Board, the Library Board, the Convention Center Board, the Tree Board, the Water, Light, and Sinking Board and is the liaison to the Municipal Court.
