Garbage/Recycling Collection Schedule For Thanksgiving Holiday

All City of Dalton offices and non-emergency services will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 23rd and 24th, to allow our staff to celebrate Thanksgiving. There will be no garbage or recycling collections on those days. 

Instead, to ensure all City residents receive a garbage and recycling pick up for the week, routes will be completed as follows:

  • Thursday’s garbage and recycling will be picked up on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.  Friday’s garbage and recycling will be picked up on Wednesday, November 22, 2023.
  • All other days (Monday, November 20th- Wednesday November 22nd) will be picked up on their regularly scheduled day.
